This is not a blog. So why “35mm.blog”? Well, it was a cheap domain; I wanted this to be a blog, I had some serious plans for this place. The truth is I don’t have time. I’m a father, a husband and a teacher… If I have some spare time, I sleep. I’ve tried many times to start this website, I bought the domain a few years ago. I organised a photography week for my students last July. Frankly, I think I enjoyed that more than they did. What’s more important, this pushed me to finally start adding some pictures here. Pictures are not in any order, not divided into any categories (apart from digital/film). Once I think I like a particular picture, it will land here. I started this project with minimalistic approach; who knows, I may decide to develop this place into something more sophisticated one day.

All pictures (apart from the one above) were taken by me. I use digital and analogue cameras; they’re mentioned in pictures’ descriptions. I don’t keep track of lenses I use, too much hassle; however, most of the time it’s 35mm (DSLR) and 50mm (SLR). If I use film, it’s often an expired roll. I don’t aspire to be a great photographer; photography is my hobby, and gives me the opportunity to relax. I don’t edit pictures too much, I crop, I play with colours. I don’t care much about mistakes I make. Photography is not a source of my income; I just enjoy the process, no pressure. I don’t calibrate my screen, I edit pictures under different light conditions; some pictures may be too bright, some too dark, sometimes colours may seem to be a bit odd. I use ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate; I know there is better software available, however, I’ve been using ACDSee since the ’90s and I’m too stubborn to change it.

If you like any of my pictures, you want to use them in any way, no problem. However, you need to follow CC BY-NC-SA. Pictures are rather small (1200px longer side); let me know if you need a bigger one. You can drop me an email: jacek (at) prochorowicz (dot) com; I will probably respond within 24 hours. I don’t use any watermark, too much hassle. What am I gonna do if you steal a picture? Nothing; I have more important things to do in my life. It’s up to you if you want to look in the mirror and see a cunt.

I’m based in Kent, UK.
